The Engineering Technology department at the Utah Valley University invites applications for a tenure-track Position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate Mechatronic Engineering Technology courses and direct course projects, create innovative instructional materials, and supervise extracurricular activities as assigned. The successful candidate is also expected to teach day, evening, off-campus, online and summer classes as needed or assigned; engage in scholarship including research and developing sources of external collaboration for projects with industry; participate in professional associations and in program assessment and development activities related to accreditation; assume an active role in the planning and governance of the institution through service on department, college and campus-wide committees; assists in recruitment, advisement, placement and follow-up of students; engage students in projects with outside organizations and community; and attract funding to the college through grants and other sources.
