The Department of Engineering Technology at the University of Houston is currently seeking applications for a  tenure track position starting Fall 2017 in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program:

Associate Professor, Mechatronics and Dynamics: The successful candidate will be expected to teach and conduct research in the areas of mechatronics, robotics and system dynamics, automatic control theory, electromechanical systems, intelligent systems, and MEMS.

A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field is a requirement. Applicants are expected to have a strong record of externally funded research, scholarship, teaching, and a commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty and students. Industrial experience is highly desirable. The department is seeking outstanding candidates with the potential for exceptional research, excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty, graduate, and undergraduate student population.
