We are developing a new curriculum for a new mechatronics program in our community college
The local industry, and our government funding are both pressing towards educating for manufacturing technology. What are your views on a mechatronics program that instead of being the classing mechanical-engineering + electronics course combination, is more a manufacturing + electronics structures, with classes on programming, circuits, PLC's and so on, Additionally with classes on manufacturing tech, CNC and so on? Without as much on the side of Dynamics or Statics or other mechanical engineering courses
