Job Description:
- Teach courses in control systems, mechatronics and lower division engineering technology
- Teach graduate courses in Systems Engineering
- Develop a scholarly research program with external funding
- Advise students
- Work with faculty to maintain ETAC-ABET assessment
- Develop courses, curriculum, and laboratories
- Serve the university and community
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Requirements:
Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related area is required, from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized organization. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and working with undergraduate students.
Preference will be given to candidates with research and teaching experience at the collegiate level and a strong research background related to SUNY Poly's initiatives. The successful candidates experience and interests is expected to complement those of existing faculty at SUNY Poly. Candidates should be able to support coursework in control systems and mechatronics. Preference will be given to applicants with several years of industrial experience and research and/or teaching experience in control systems or mechatronics.
